    SMD50A lamps are manufactured to the OEM specification required for many GM instrument cluster repairs; vehicles in the 2000-2006 range.  These lamps provide the correct voltage 14.4V DC, and the correct rating of 100ma to provide the correct brightness and many years of use.
    OEM-type replacement lamps eliminate the time-consuming lead trimming/forming operations required by raw bulbs, while providing a professional repair appearance.  The high-temperature base provides mounting at the correct height.  The original lamps had a BLUE-BASE which was changed in 2008 per GM to the GOLDEN color—Please consider changing any lamp with a BLUE-BASE for reliability purposes.
