Scarce, early U.S. Postal Railway Mail Service - Railway Post Office (RPO) poster for California. Lists nearly 600 California cities and towns with an additional 41 written by hand. Also includes the cross-country "Standpoints" of New York City and Philadelphia. Printed in San Francisco by the 8th Division Railway Mail Service Printing Department Feb. 10, 1909. The Eighth Division of the R. M. S. covered California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. It was headquartered in San Francisco. Poster will be carefully refolded for shipping.
